Forged Caulking Iron for installing Oakum.
This is known in the boating trade as a ‘Making Iron’ and has a little groove in the end – this leaves a ridge in the oakum, which allows a bead of lime putty to grab hold of it. We do suggest a little lime is pointed over oakum, just to prevent birds pecking at it.
Returns Policy: Can be returned if wrapped and undamaged. We charge a re-stocking fee to cover shipping charges.
